The high temperatures are felt throughout the country. Spending all day drinking water can be monotonous, so we've put together 5 recipes to stay fresh.
Avoiding direct exposure to the sun, being cool environments, trying not to ride in a car in the hottest hours are some of our recommendations.
In addition to avoiding the consumption of alcoholic beverages and increasing the intake of water and natural fruit juices.
So to stay hydrated we found some recipes for juices and smoothies to stay hydrated and fresh for the next few days.
Melon and Orange Juice
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of melon
- 2 Oranges
- 120ml water
- fresh herbs of choice
Preparation:
- Squeeze the juice from 2 oranges
- After arranging melon, mix all the ingredients in the blender
- Strain if needed
- Let it cool in the fridge
Watermelon and Mint Juice
Ingredients:
- 4 Medium watermelon slices
- 100ml water
- 1 lime
- 4 Mint leaves
Preparation:
- Arrange the watermelon, removing the skin to seeds
- Cut the watermelon into pieces and put in a blender
- Beat the watermelon with the mint, water and juice of the squeezed lime
- Strain the juice and serve fresh
Cucumber Mojito (alcohol-free)
Ingredients:
- 3 Keylimes
- 1 Mint sprig
- 1 Aguave syrup
- 1/2 peeled cucumber
- 120ml water
Preparation:
- Crush the keylimes, mint and syrup in a grinder
- Grind the peeled cucumber (try seeded cucumber) with the juice of the previous mixture
- Serve everything in a glass with ice, adding the water to taste and mix everything
Mango and Lime Juice
Ingredients:
- 2 Medium mangos
- 180ml water
- 2 Keylimes
- 4 Mint leaves
Preparation:
- Arrange the mango, removing the skin and seed
- Cut the mango into pieces and blend all the remaining ingredients
- Strain the juice and serve fresh
Hibiscus Juice
Ingredients:
- 20g of Hibiscus flower
- 1-2 Star anise
- 4 Mint leaves
- 1 Apple
- 1 Keylimes
- 800ml Water
Preparation:
- Add 20g hibiscus petals, 3-4 mint leaves, and 1 star anise in a pot of 800ml water and bring to a boil for 15 minutes.
- Let it cool down.
- Strain the liquid.
- Add pressed juice of 1 apple and a squeeze of 1 fresh keylime.
- Pour in a jug and refrigerate overnight or for at least 3 hours.
